ALERT ADVOCACY - HVA Opposes Beach Company’s Private Dock Permit Request at Broad & Lockwood
The Harleston Village Association has issued a formal statement opposing a permit request by the Beach Company to construct a private dock extending into the Ashley River—directly across from the Jasper, at the intersection of Broad Street and Lockwood Boulevard.

The January 8 HVA Board meeting covered committee updates and actions. Zoning and BAR discussed zoning variances and neighborhood impacts, while Membership focused on boosting engagement through events and collaboration. Parks, Livability, and Flood committees proposed park maintenance, infrastructure improvements, and storm drain adoption. The Board approved a new schedule and emphasized technology for membership growth.
