Parking Survey Results: Building Neighborhood-Wide Support for Better Management
Our May 2026 resident survey (110 responses) confirms parking is a quality-of-life issue — concentrated in a few hotspots and driven mostly by non-resident daytime users. HVA is now working with neighboring associations and the City to consolidate support for targeted improvements.

HVA Opposes the Beach Company's Private Dock Permit at Broad & Lockwood
The HVA Board voted unanimously to oppose a Beach Company permit request for a private dock reaching into the Ashley River at Broad Street and Lockwood Boulevard, opposite the Jasper — joined by the Preservation Society of Charleston and Historic Charleston Foundation.
