This committee also works to maintain a good relationship with the College of Charleston to address shared concerns and foster collaboration on neighborhood issues.
Logan Street pole installation: please move vehicles by 7 a.m.
Dominion will install a new pole on Logan Street between Magazine Street and West Street on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents are asked to move their vehicles from the affected block by 7 a.m. that morning. Please plan ahead for the disruption and help spread the word to your neighbors.
Dominion will also conduct outreach to notify residents about the work.

Announcing launch of Rooted in Harleston Tree Canopy Campaign
We are delighted to announce Rooted in Harleston, a Harleston Village Association (“HVA”) initiative to help restore the Village tree canopy.
Partnering with the City’s Urban Forestry Division, HVA has secured approval to plant 15 trees this winter along Village streets. More importantly, for every two trees purchased by participating members ($295 per tree), HVA will donate a third tree free of charge.
With our tree canopy well below the nation’s average, this is a wonderful opportunity to help bring more shade to city streets. We certainly need it after this year’s record-breaking temperatures. More importantly, you get to choose the type of tree based on Urban Forestry’s “right tree, right place” philosophy. See our FREE guide to eligible trees, with photos of each one grown up. This includes placement at your residence address if placement criteria can be met.
