Dominion Tree Pruning Underway.
Heads-up, Dominion Energy will soon be in Harleston Village for their once-in-five-year cycle to prune trees from right-of-ways. Given the 5-year cycle, some of the pruning will be significant. The schedule is beginning now around The Citadel area and will extend to the Battery by mid-summer.
Dominion Energy will be clearing along overhead power lines in the community to maintain the safety, resiliency, and reliability of the electric system. In Xylem Tree Experts will work along the rights-of-way to remove potential hazards such as dead or damaged trees, overgrown limbs, and other vegetation. Trees that have grown too close to power lines are a leading cause of power outages. Crews will remove debris as soon as possible, with some cleanup scheduled after trimming is complete.
